The Mummification Process
This storyboard does not have a description.
Hey, look! I found something! It looks like one of the statues fell! Uh-oh! Better tell the Pharaoh.
First, I must remove his organs and put them in canopic jars. Next, I will cover him with Natron and then I will fill his body's cavity with linen. Lastly, I will wrap him from head to toe with bandages and place him in a sarcophagus.
Not now. I'm going through a difficult time right now. My friend has died. I have to plan his burial.
You should come see what happened!
This is the bed that my son used to sleep in. Now I must prepare his body for the afterlife by mummifying him so that his spirit / Ka can recognize his body.
I am so proud that I am wealthy and elite so I can afford to have my son mummified. If we were poor, he would have to be buried in the hot, dry, sand to preserve his body naturally.
My dear son, I hope that you have an amazing journey in the afterlife and I hope to join you when my time comes. Now I'm going to go look at the statue that fell.
