  • George and Hazel "visit".
  • I don't mind this 47 pound burlap sack that's padlocked around my neck at all.
  • You should lay down. I don't mind you being not equal to me for a while.
  • George, mentally handicapped, can't remember what he was talking about.
  • I'm extremely smart, but can't remember what we were talking about 20 seconds ago.
  • News anchor tries to read bulletin, but is interrupted by his mental handicap.
  • Good evening ladies and gent-uhhh, good evening ladies and-uhh
  • I am the Emperor! Everyone must do as I say!
  • Harrison or "The Emporer" crashing the news with his new "Empress".
  • George walks back in with his beer after totally forgetting what happened on TV.

  • In "Harrison Burgeron", Vonnegut is depicting a society that is trying to keep everyone equal. Funny enough, we're not too far away from a possible reality like this. This story is a good reminder to hold on to our freedoms as long as possible and to not let the government gain too much control.
