William Prescott led his soldiers onto Bunker Hill awaiting the British Soldiers. The British soldiers won the battle of Bunker Hill and took over Charleston. This may have been a loss, but it really taught them a valuable lesson. A militia can´t fight a British army on its own.

That you can´t put a militia up against a British army. The army is too powerful and will destroy the militia.
The battle of Fort McHenry was an important one. This battle declared our independence from Britain. Francis Scott Key was being held captive on a ship when he saw bombs bursting in air, and when the smoke cleared, he saw the American flag still standing.

The Battle of Antietam was the bloodiest of all battles. Even though one side always walks away with a winner, this battle was just a tragedy. It was practically a draw, but I think that this battle scarred most of the soldiers involved. This field was left with bodies and blood everywhere.

The Battle of Shiloh was a short one, and It wasn't much of a surprise. The confederates weren't pulled an attack on the union.
The Battle of Chickmauga turns out to be the second bloodiest battle of them all. This battle turned out to be a confederate victory. It started out eastward toward the river and went on from there.
