My Life as an Orange
I am an Orange.
I was born in Southeast India. My relatives mainly started growing in Northeast and Southeast India. which is in Southeast Asia.
Among Europeans, Romans also were the firsts to taste our deliciousness. They used us for our flavor and in dishes.
My relatives and i got to Europe in 16th century BC because of Portuguese traders. We got to the New World from the Old World because of Spanish explorers and conquistadors.
Our population started to grow and the people initiated orange cultivation. Brazil is the leading producer of oranges. Obviously by how many of us there are now, we were well liked.
Now people know that I'm full of nutritional value, I'm eaten all the time. I'm enjoyed in all parts of the world. I can be eaten just as an orange or I'm used to zest dishes or I'm even combined in dishes.
