Where is the captain of this crowd? I challenge one of you to a joust.
I will go, King Arthur!
The Green Knight shows up to the round table asking who is in charge. The knight is looking for someone to joust-hit for hit over the course of a year.
Arthur was the one who was going to take up the offer, but Sir Gawain volunteers in Arthur's place.
Gawain was given the chance to hit The Green Knight, knocking of his head. His head then flew onto the ground and The Knight picked it up and walked out.
A year later, Gawain was on his way to deal with his consequences and a lady provided him with a green girdle that saves him from any harm.
Gawain scorned to feel afraid bye the ax to his neck. It turned out that the ax cannot harm an honest man.
The Green Knight exchanged kind words to Gawain and no one dies. The end.
