  • First, traders set their goods out and banged a drum to signal the trade. The traders then went several miles away.
  • Drum
  • Trader
  • Goods
  • Then, the Wangarans came and took what they wanted and paid. They banged the drum and left.
  • Drum
  • Payment
  • The traders would come back and check the payment. It would go two ways, either the traders were satisfied and left or the traders banged the drum again to let the Wangarans know it wasn't enough.
  • The process would happen over and over again until both sides were satisfied. Then, the trade was complete.
