How does a bill become a law? by Hunter Cole
A bill normally starts out as an idea that a community of people will bring up to their local official.
It should be illegal to mow your lawn before 8 A.M.!
The local official will then go to the state representative or senator.
The people of my community want it to be illegal to mow your lawn before 8 A.M.
The representative or senator will bring the idea which is now a bill before either senate or the house whom will vote on it.
I think it should be a felony to mow your lawn before 8 A.M.
If both the senate and house agree on the bill they will then send it before the president to be signed.
Why didn't anyone think of this before, of course I will sign it!
It is now illegal to mow your lawn before 8 A.M., it is now a felony offense with a minimum sentence of 20 years.
