Storyboard Text

  • The Myth of Orpheus and Eurydice by Ashley Chin
  • Orpheus descended into the underworld to try and find his wife, Eurydice, who had been taken and was now being held by Pluto.
  • I need to find Eurydice. I need to find Eurydice.
  • He encountered Cerberus, a three-headed dog who was guarding the entrance into Pluto's kingdom, and distracted him with food.
  • Oooh, food!
  • After Orpheus searched for a long time, Pluto finally told him he could take Eurydice if, on their trek back to light, he never looked back at her.
  • You can lead back your wife, but one condition: you are forbidden to look back at her. If you do, she will never be sent back to the living.
  • As they were nearing the entrance to the light, he, overwhelmed by love, looked back.
  • I cannot bear it anymore, I must look back.
  • Eurydice was dragged back to Pluto and was never returned to light.
