- BEHAVIORAL THEORY: When Missy was little, a spider was in her food and she almost ate it. Now if she sees a spider, it produces an extreme reaction!
- SPIDER!!! AAAGGHHH!
- COGNITIVE: When Missy turned 8, nobody showed up to her party. Missy knew it was because she was a bad girl and no one liked her. There was a spider web in the corner. Every time she sees a spider she panics!
- I hate this. Everyone hates me.
- Is that a spider?
- I'm worthless.
- PSYCHODYNAMIC: Missy's father was very abusive. Her used to hit her. He would send her to her room without dinner. She would just stare at the ceiling. Missy doesn't know why she is scared of spiders.
