  • and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal....
  •  a new nation, conceived in Liberty,
  • On July 3rd, 1863, was the last and final day in the battle of Gettysburg.General Lee was sure that the union was battered and weak so he decided to attack cemetery ridge. In which general Picket led 15000 troops, which he later learned to be a great mistake. For every nearly every man died on the journey there .
  • Through out the entire battle 51,000 men died. This was a realization for lee in which it caused him to decide to never move to the north ever again but rather to let them come to him. This also lost all chance that the South had for Cotton diplomacy for Great Britain and France saw that this was a bad idea to help the south. This battle was not only the bloodiest battle in the civil war but the bloodiest in North America.
  • The Gettysburg address was delivered on November 19 1863. 15,000 people attended the speech at the Gettysburg cemetery, The words of Lincoln quickly spread across the newspapers in the U.S. It showed and celebrated the victory of the union soldiers. Moved the countries morale and point of view for the rest of the civil war.
