Beowulf Slays The Dragon
Heather Campbell 9/12/16 Mrs. Dunham
I've never known fear, as a youth I fought in endless battles. I am old now, but I will fight again , seek fame still, if the dragon dares to face me.
Beowulf knew that his days of fighting were coming to an end. Yet, courageous and brave, he kept word to his people and expressed that he would go forth compassionately stating as such, "I'd use no sword, no weapon".
Standing firm in faith, Beowulf marched up to the hidden entrance of the dragon's den, feeling the heat from its hot breath. He lowered his weapon while holding his shield and let out a battle cry to let the dragon know it was time to battle.
