Storyboard Description

Digger Cletus and Chuck argue about the Earth.

Storyboard Text

  • Well, due to Newton’s third law proving action-reaction pairs, then one can deduce that the Earth is flat.
  • Did you guys hear about the fire at the school up the road?
  • Oh, don’t get your knickers in a knot. That’s not even possible.
  • The Earth is a cube. Prove me wrong.
  • Oh, don’t get your knickers in a knot. That’s not even possible.
  • Well, I even got proof to back me up. I’m like Homer. I’m so smart and I know for a fact that the Earth is flat.
  •  All three men want to defend their argument, and go off topic quite a lot. Cletus used a straw man argument, and Digger used a non-sequitur fallacy.
  • Did you guys hear about the fire at the school up the road?
  • Why are you guys so dumb? It's obviously a dinosaur shape!
  • Cletus thinks that the Earth is a cube.
  • Well, according to the laws of quantum computing rooted with metaphysical entanglement, one can suggest that the Earth is most definitely flat
  • Naw. Digger, you thought it was raining cats and dogs was for real. I’m done with your goofy behavior.” Chuck said.
  • Digger used a historical allusion to back up his belief. He cited Homer, a famous Greek author.

  • Chuck did not like the debate about a flat earth. He thinks it is a dinosaur so he uses a loaded question to help his argument.
  • Chuck used an Idiom to insult Digger, but he fired back with an Appeal to Quantum Physics.
