The Irish who (loved their potatoes) Lived on them. Without potatoes their whole lives would be over. No more food or anything. They would have to live in poverty.
One day. the Irish found that throughout the last couple of days their potatoes were Running out. Most of the potato crop was being destroyed by a strange disease called the potato blight. It is where it turns potatoes soggy and are unedible.
The Irish found a solution though. Even though it would take a long time they sent most of their people away to find a new land and to find a better lifestyle. Even though there were very slim chances that they would even make it.
After many many days, they arrived in the new world. They were all so, so please and settled in quite quickly. Though it was a very hard process
Though life in America was still tough more poverty, lots of diseases and sickness. It was hard for the Irish but they had to stay to have better life opportunities.
The potato was a great deal to the Irish. The Irish loved the potato because it was their main food source and could feed many people. It helped the people of Ireland grow very quickly.
