Storyboard Text

  • My parents don't pay attention to me so I'm going to run away. I stole $13.00 from my mom to take the 9 o'clock train to Maycomb.
  • "I took the train from Meridian to Maycomb Junction , fourteen miles away. (Lee 187)"
  • I walked the rest of the way, until I hopped on the back of a cotton wagon.
  • "Dill’s voice went on steadily in the darkness: “The thing is, what I’m tryin‘ to say is—they do get on a lot better without me, I can’t help them any. They ain’t mean. They buy me everything I want, but it’s now—you’ve-got-it-go-play-with-it. You’ve got a roomful of things. I-got-you-that-book-so-go-read-it.” Dill tried to deepen his voice. “You’re not a boy. They kiss you and hug you good night and good mornin‘ and good-bye and tell you they love you- (Lee 191"
  • Then , I walked to Jem and Scouts house
  • I snuck into the house and hid under Scouts bed.
  • "How'd you get here? (Lee 187)"
