  • The Cyprus war's have called General Othello off to war with his second in command Cassio, and a trusted offical in his army, Iago. His bride, Desdamona will not let her new husband leave without her. She and her attendant Emilia, Iago's wife, come along with the men to Cyprus. Iago is Jealous of Micheal Cassio for obtaining the position of Othello's second in charge. He knows he's a much better soldier than Cassio, and will do anything to obtain the position.

  • Othello is a short tempered man who can be easily decived. He is rather stubborn, and once his mind is set on something, it's hard to convince him otherwise. This ultimately leads to his downfall.

  • Iago convinces Cassio to have a drink one night. His plan is to get Cassio drunk and do something stupid so Othello will demote Cassio and give Iago the position. Iago will then gain Othello's trust and use it to trick Othello into thinking Desdemona has been cheating on him with Cassio
  • Iago tricks his friend Roderigo into attempting to kill Cassio. Roderigo fails in his attempt and is betrayed by Iago, who kills him, pretending he had nothing to do with it.
  • Othello murders Desdemona after Iago tricks him into thinking that she has been cheating on him with Cassio. When Emelia tells him that Iago had been lying, and how Iago had manipulated him, Iago took her life. Othello killed himself after realizing that Desdemona was loyal.
