  • A quarrel is braking out between the two family rivalries, the Capulets and the Montagues.
  • I do bite my thumb, sir.
  • Do you bite your thumb at us, sir?
  • Good morrow, cousin.
  • But new struck nine.
  • Romeo is heartbroken because the women that he loves doesn't love him back and Benvolio is trying to help him get past it
  • Ay me! Sad hours seem long. Was that my father that went so fast?
  • Is the day so young?
  • Peace, I have done. God mark thee to his grace! Thou wast the prettist babe that e'er I nursed. An i might live to see thee married once, I have my wish.
  • Nurse and Juliet's mother want her to marry Count Paris but Juliet doesn't want to be married so young.
  • It is an honor that I dream not of.
  • Marry, that "marry" is the very theme I came to talk of. Tell me, daughter Juliet, how stands your disposition to be married?
  • Saints do not move, though grant for prayers' sake.
  • Romeo sees Juliet at the Capulet party and is immediately in love with her. He finds her and kisses her during the party. A forbidden love begins once she finds out who he is.
  • O, then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do. They pray; grant thou, lest faith turn to despair
  • Then move not, while my prayer's effects I take.
  • Romeo goes over Juliet's wall and in to the yard by her balcony and then they both profess their love for each other. Then Juliet makes plans to send a messenger to arrange the marriage.
  • I take thee at thy word. Call me but love, and I'll be new baptized. Henceforth I never will be Romeo.
  • O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore are thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name. Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, and I'll no longer be a Capulet.
  • Friar Lawrence is going to marry Romeo and Juliet soon and they are both very anxious to get married.
  • Come, come with me, and we will make short work. For, by your leaves, you shall not stay alone. Till holy church incorporate two in one
