Hamlet goes up to the Queen's room and confronts her on his frustrations. He tells her about his anger towards her, his sadness about his father's death and his revenge.
Hamlet stabs and kills Polonius, who was hiding behind a tapestry eavesdropping on their conversation. This makes the Queen believe that Hamlet has gone mad even more.
The Ghost of the late King Hamlet appears again, but only Hamlet can see it. The Queen thinks he's even crazier now because it seems like Hamlet is talking to thin air.
