Storyboard Text

  • I'll leave your mother alone on one condition, you bring me the head of Medusa
  • I accept your offer!
  • Give me weapons and armor and let me pass, or I'll destroy your eye!
  • Perseus lived with his mother Danae on the island of Seriphus and lives with a fisherman named Diktys. But Diktys' brother, King Polydectes, had an interest in Theseus' mother, Danae.
  • Polydectes knew that Perseus would be a nuisance to him in his efforts to win over Danae. He devised a plan to get rid of Perseus. He told Perseus to fetch him the head of Medusa and he'd leave his mother alone.
  • As Perseus went on his journey he encountered the 3 Gray Sisters. They would not let him pass so he snatched the one eye they shared between them and bribed them to give him weapons and to let him pass or he'd destroy the eye. The sisters agreed reluctantly.
  • At last Perseus arrived at Medusa's lair. Ready for a fight, he charged forward and began his attack.
  • With a quick swipe of his weapon, Perseus managed to slice off the head of Medusa. In awe, the grabbed the head and ran back home to put King Polydectes in his place.
  • When Perseus returned he took the head of Medusa and shoved it in the King's face. In an instant King Polydectes turned to stone from looking in Medusa's eyes. Perseus was considered a legend for slaying the fabled Gorgon!
