Odysseus arrives in Phaecia which is ruled by Alcinous. Alcinous then asks him to tell of his adventures.
Odysseus tells Alcinous that his home is the peaked sea mark of Ithica under Mount Neions wind-blown rouge of leaves.
Odysseus is leaving the island
Odysseus's men drink a lot of wine and kill a lot of sheep and get drunk instead of fleeing.
Because Odysseus' men do not flea they end up getting killed by the Lances.
He and his living men went to Cythera and there were lotus there. People were eating the lotus, which made them forget about their homeland, so he advised his men to not eat it, so they wont forget their homeland.
