Social Studies greek thang
This storyboard does not have a description.
It is nearly impossible to grow anything around here! There isn't any good soil and barely any cropland!
At least I can grow barley, grapes and olives (Goddess Athena's invention.)
I'm begging you! My son needs meat to stay alive. He is very ill. I just need one sheep! I'll give you 100 drachmas!
Drachma were the currency in Ancient Greece. Everyone had their own livestock on their own land.
No! these animals are my property and I don't HAVE to give you anything. Now go!
Only one-fifth of the land in Ancient Greece was suitable for farming.
The poorer you were, the smaller amount of land you had and the richer you were, the larger amount of land you had.
The most common plants were vines to make wine, olives for the oil, fruits, vegetables and nuts.
