Saloma and Vinod are talking. Saloma talks about how she would dedicate songs to Vinod on Class 95 FM. They then order their food, of which the waiter laughs at Saloma for ordering the same thing as Vinod. Saloma thinks the waiter is laughing at them because they are "mad".
ACT ONE SCENE THREE
Saloma continues to think that everyone in the restaurant are staring at them and calls herself off centre. These thoughts are fueled by her past experiences of people calling her mad, hence she keeps telling herself "I'm not mad." Vinod calms her down by telling her that the waiter was merely interested in her, and did not think she was mad.
ACT ONE SCENE THREE
Vinod then loudly gives toast to Saloma and his' future. Everyone in the restaurant is now staring at them. Saloma gets uncomfortable and thinks they are staring because they were patients in Woodbridge hospital. Saloma then starts to wonder why they are off centre, but Vinod tells her they arent.
ACT ONE SCENE THREE - END
Saloma then expresses that she wants to be a bird. The diners laugh and she thinks she had said something wrong. Vinod then continues to discuss what they were supposed to be and Saloma believed they were nothing and had to become something. She starts overthinking and wants to go home. Vinod tells her everything was a joke and Saloma starts to panick.
Saloma believes that everyone takes advantage of them because they are off centre, she believes that people dont like her because of the effect of the medicine that she takes. Vinod continues to talk to her about what they discussed earlier to keep her from doing anything dumb. But she takes his message the wrong way and thinks that she has to conform to people's expectations of her.
They then close their eyes and Vinod asks Saloma if he could think of anything. Saloma asks Vinod to keep quiet and they end up guessing what song they were thinking of at the moment to see if it was the same, The scene ends with them smiling, and going to their rooms.
