  • In the French Indian War war, the French and the British and Colonists, as well as some Native Americans, fought over the territory west of the Appalachian Mountains. This war took place from 1754 - 1763 C.E. The war was ended with a treaty signed by the French saying that the British could have their territory, called the Treaty of Quebec. This then left England 140,000,000 in debt, and to make up for it, they texted the colonists, leading to the Declaration of Independence 13 years later.
  • The Boston Massacre
  • These are some Colonists that are getting their haircut and then the barber was telling them about the stamp tax, and they were furious. The stamp tax was one of the intolerable acts and was one of the things that lead up to the Declaration of Independence. It basically taxed all paper products, by putting a stamp on them and demanding Colonists pay for the stamps.
  • The Quartering Act
  • Eh, I guess it will do. Now get out if you value your life. I am armed.
  • This is the Boston Tea Party happening. The Colonists dressed up like Native Americans so that the Red Coats wouldn't know it was them, and threw British tea into the water, protesting the tea tax. This made King George III very mad, and lead to the intolerable acts.
  • The Battle of Bunker Hill

  • In the Boston Massacre, the British fought against the Colonists, and 5 colonists were killed. This happened in March 5, 1770. Of 9 British soldiers, only 2 were convicted, thanks to the great work of John Quincy Adams. Although he was the lawyer, he eventually became the United States of America's 2nd president.
  • This is one of the British soldiers that was housed in a Colonists home. This was another one of the intolerable acts. This act stated that you had to house British soldiers in your own home when ordered to by the British. This made the Colonists very angry as well. This was one of the events that lead up to the Declaration of Independence.
  • So this is the only leftover room in our home so here you go.
  • The battle of Bunker Hill was fought on June 17, 1775. This battle was fought during the early stages of the American Revolution. Although the battle is called the battle of Bunker Hill, most of it was fought on Breed's Hill. This battle was technically won by the British, but then they realized how strong the Americans were, and came to a realization on how hard it would be to defeat them.
