Before Jesus died for us, he had a supper with his 12 Disciples. This was called the Last supper. At the supper, Jesus took some bread and broke it, and told his Disciples that "This is my body". He means that the bread will turn into his body, so we can eat it. The priest does the same thing at mass, and makes the bread into Jesus's body.
During this time, the Chief priest wanted to find Jesus and kill Him. One of Jesus's Disciples, named Judas, went to the priest and asked "How much money will you give me if I tell you where Jesus is?" The priests gave Judas 30 silver coins when he told them.
Jesus will be crucified!
To make fun of Jesus, the soldiers took off His clothes and put a purple cloak on Him.
The mean soldiers made a crown of thorny branches and put it on His head. Then they put a stick in His right hand. The soldiers knelt in front of Jesus, made fun of Him, and called Him names.
Pontius Piolate wanted to give the people what they wanted. A man named Barabbas committed crimes but Jesus didn't commit any. Piolate asked the people who they wanted to be crucified. The crowd yelled for Jesus to be crucified, so Piolate did as the people asked.
Before crucifying Him, the soldiers made Jesus carry His cross. They made Jesus walk to a mountain, called Golgotha which means "The Place of the Skull" carrying His cross. This is where He would be crucified.
