"The Tyger" By William Blake Luis Hinjosa Period 7
Tyger Tyger, burning bright, In the forests of the night
What immortal hand or eye, Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
And what shoulder, & what art, Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
Did he smile his work to see? Did he who made the Lamb make thee?
The purpose of William Blake's "The Tyger" was to show the reader if it was God that made the lamb could it been God that made the tiger.Or could it be someone else like the devil.Since God made something so gentle like the lamb could he make something so violent like the tiger. The speaker's purpose is to realize that god can bring innocence and pain into the world at the same time. The theme of the poem basically shows God's mysterious creation.
