  • This story is started off with Tom's wife Clare asking him to go out with her tonight but tom deiced to stay in for the night and work like always while his wife went out
  • Climax
  • Since he had decided to stay home he went back to get his "work" done and he left the window open on a windy night and his paper flew right out the window
  • Falling Action
  • Tom was devastated because that paper had months of data that would bring tom big things to his grocery company if he went through with that plan that was all written out on that piece of paper that landed on the ledge of a window.
  • Resolution
  • Tom went out on the ledge and his paper is caught in between two walls about 5 yards away from where he was and the ledge he was. He stood on ledge about the width of his shoe also at every 5th brick there is a spot where he could grap with his finger tip.
  • Tom knew he had to take it easy and slow on the ledge because he was 11 stories high and above Lexington Ave. He suddenly look how at he street below and froze in fear. He almost feel twice and realized that if he fell he would not be heard or seen because he himself ignored the screams or crying at night
  • After the terrible frightening experience tom finally made a good plan and broke his window to his own apartment and finally was safe inside. soon after he put the paper under a pencil and got his coat to go meet Clare but as soon as hes about to walk out the door the wind takes away the paper once more and tom just bursts into laughter and walks out the door
