Wasn't Jacksonian Democracy based on giving the people the power in government, an industrial and agricultural economy, and a strong president?
Yeah, Jackson used this to his advantage by appealing to the people to gain presidency. I don't believe he should be on the $20 bill because he did this to gain power in the government
Andrew Jackson also started the practice of the spoil system which means to replace offices by your supporters which he used to gain power in the government
Andrew Jackson really shouldn't be on the $20 bill by using presidential power to gain even more power
Andrew Jackson also signed the Indian removal policy to force the natives to walk with the clothes on their back to a new location in the harsh environment
He did that to gain popularity of many settlers moving west. Jackson shouldn't be on the $20 bill because of the suffering he made the natives go through.
Jackson also had a war with the national bank when he and his supporters ran the bank out of business because he didn't like the owner of it.
He used this popularity because many didn't like the bank for it supporting mostly wealthy people, from this he took the economy down which is why he shouldn't be on the $20 bill
Although, Jackson did protect the federal government when his vice president believed the states could refuse federal law. In doing so he helped the government keep the power it needs to run the country
That is a good thing but all the other 4 things mean he really shouldn't be on the bill since there are many better people for the $20 bill
