First, the colonists set up a plan to not let the tea be sold in America. At first, the colonists had no intention of destroying the tea.
The colonists tried every way to return the tea to England unharmed, they tried to get the consignees (people who sold the tea) to resign from their job. The colonists even sent letters to the king but he ignored them.
The colonists have had enough; they have made a plan to go onto the British ships dressed as Native Americans so they won't get caught dumping out the tea into the Boston Harbor.
The Colonists march towards the three ships and divided into three groups to board the ships at the same time. On the ship, they grab some keys and candles from the captain.
The colonists used the key to get into the hatchet that contained the tea. They broke open the tea chests and dumped them into the Boston Harbor.
Afterwards, the colonists return to their residenses, each man keeping his own secret, and not knowing any information about the other participants.
