The first constitution that was used for America finished in 1777 and started being used March 1st, 1781. It was a wartime agreement for the 13 states. During the ratification process people known as anti-federalists who believed in a low powered government. They believed the articles of Confederation were to central government powered.

The first amendment states that all citizens have the right to freely speak, practice any religion, to assemble, and redress of grievances.

The second amendment says that the people have the right to keep a maintained militia and have the right to bear arms. The 3rd amendment says that no soldiers can stay in a house without the owner's permission unless ordered by the law in a time of war.
In the 4th amendment, it says that the police cannot search your property for anything unless you are under probable cause of an illegal act and have a warrant approved to search your property.
unless there is enough evidence, a person does not go to trial for a crime unless in the military where you can be put to trial for crimes. No person can be tried for the same crime twice or have their life and liberties taken without proper action or have their property taken for public use without compensation.
