Step one of the Creeping Barrage
Step two of the creeping barrage
The final step of the creeping barrage
This storyboard shows that the far side of the army is putting the creeping barrage in action. They are firing artillery shells over the enemy in order to destroy the enemy’s base and to create chaos between them.
This shows the attacks of the artillery shells and the explosions that are happening due to this. At first, they would fire far away, then gradually decrease the distance of the shots. They had eventually worked out to shoot 50 metres closer every minute. They would fire a lot of shell ranging from 1000 to 1,600,000, which was a technically a waste of shells and some points, though effective at other points.
The last part of the plan was to send troops in small groups to the other side, and their job was to kill anyone that was lucky enough to survive to shell attack. They would have one V one with the bayonet. When the sent troops die, they send in more, or if the opponents die, they restart the plan because the enemy would send in more troops. Most of the times the plan would work, though sometimes it might not, due to the factor that the enemies might have gotten informed that this was coming, or just that their plan wasn’t right.
