  • I waited every day to kill his eye! He was nice but it's his eye.

  • I don't hate you, but it's your eye.

  • Enough! YES I DID IT!!!
  • The rising action introduces a point of greatest interest.  The narrator waited for days and days to kill the old man's eye. "Every morning I went boldly into his room and asked him how he had spent the night."
  • The climax introduces like a turning point. On the eighth day the narrator killed the old man's eye and the old man. " Death had come with his black shadow before him."
  • The falling action introduces the end of the story or wrapping up the story. At the end of the story narrator tells the truth to the police officers about he killed the old man. " Enough! I admit the deed!." " Here, here! It is the beating of his hideous heart!"
