  • Separation will save more lives!
  • The mountains are over populated!
  • Can you believe all of the taxes we have now?!
  • I think this is good because Britain will get their money back!
  • Did you pay the taxes for the supplies?
  • The Proclamation of 1763 - A suggestion to divide the Appalachian Mountains in hopes to stop the fight between American Indians and colonists.
  • We had to shoot! You were out of control!
  • There was no reason to contain us!
  • The Stamp and Quartering Act - French and Indian war caused debt to Britain, so they taxed all of their supplies and stamped their pages to try to make up for it.
  • You need to pay your debt to Britain!!
  • We didn't agree to these taxes!
  • The Townshend Acts - He taxed supplies that were being sent to the colonies.
  • Stop ruining our relationship with Britain!
  • This is the opposite of what we wanted!
  • The Boston Massacre - There was a fight between British soldiers and a group of patriots in Boston, Massachusetts.
  • The Boston Tea Party - A new law that taxed on cheap tea that caused protests from the colonists.
  • The Intolerable Acts - King George took away the unnecessary taxing law but decided he would have to become their leader instead.
