  • It's over Charles, I have the high ground.
  • NOOO!
  • YAY!
  • James the first becomes King. He believes in divine rights of kings which causes tension between him and Parliament.
  • Charles I, son of King James I is crowned to be king. He has the same beliefs as his father, which causes the Civil War between him and Parliament (round heads and royalists). Parliament brought Oliver Cromwell to lead them to victory.
  • King Charles I is beheaded. Oliver Cromwell starts a Dictatorship and finds it hard to work with Parliament.
  • Charles II (son of Charles I) becomes king after Oliver Cromwell died. He had learned from his grandfather and father. He works with Parliament instead of against them.
  • James II becomes king after King Charles II dies with no heir. He is openly Catholic. Which Parliament wasn't worried about it till he had a son.
  • A group of English nobles goes and tries to get William of Orange(wife of Marry(King James II daughter) and ruler of the Netherlands) to take over. When King James II realized he had little support, he fled to France.
