  • Mexico Welcomes Large Numbers of Anglo-American immigrants
  • Welcome to Mexico!
  • Oh! I am sure we will!
  •  1835 New Dictator of Mexico
  • Get them out of here now!
  • Yes sir!
  • Battle of Gonzales
  •   Come and take it. FIRE!
  • Mexico invited the large amount of people in hoping that they would loyal Mexican citizens. Also to keep the territory from falling. When the Americans came in, they did not take to the life of Mexicans, they started to make schools, still speak English and many others.  
  •  Battle of the Alamo
  • They have very few men. I am sure this will be quick
  • The new Dictator is Antonio Lopez de Santa. He made himself the new dictator in 1835 by overthrowing the constitution and order the military to disarm the Texans. 
  • Battle of San Jacinto
  • Thats our only way to retreat sir. 
  • In the battle of Gonzales the Mexicans came to retrieve the cannon. What they did not know that the cannon was not in use anymore so when the 18 men fired it the Mexicans retreated to San Antonio.  
  • Texas Statehood
  • The battle of Alamo and Mexican forces where somewhere between 1,800 and 6,000 men. While the Mexicans have plenty of men the defenders had never more than 200 men. What was awsome about it that with so little men they kept it up for 13 days. 
  • We only have like 200 men sir. 
  • This battle only lasted 20 minutes. Houston  ordered to destroy the bridge to stop the swelling of the Mexicans. Whats weird about it thought is that , that was Houston's men only retreat way. 
  • Destroy that bridge now!
  • Yes sir!
  • Texas statehood was in December 1845. There was a problem because they didn't want to join as a slave state. 
  • Don't want to join as a slave state.
