Raphael was one of the three most celebrated Florentine masters. He studied the works of Leonardo and Michelangelo. Raphael was also younger than both men. His paintings blended both Christian and classical styles. This man was best known for his portrayals of the Madonna.
Who Was Raphael?
My greatest achievement included making The School Of Athens. The painting I'm holding on to is The School Of Athens. In order to create it, I imagined a gathering of great thinkers and scientists. I believe my achievement makes me a humanist because it showed important people in the same location talking about important topics. This happens in real life very frequently, and the topics can vary from wars to changing government.

Humanism is the value of a person. Humanists focused on worldly subjects rather than religious issues. This study was based off of classical culture. I feel that Raphael was a humanist overall. He created and displayed different works of art showing important people and events that changed history. Despite some of his works being imaginary, they occurred with different people and locations in real life.
