Day Two: Clinic House Call
Day Three: Later in the Day
Day Six: At the Hospital
Sam goes on a house call. She meets Bride MacKenzie, who is complaining of a runny nose, fever, and her "nerves" are bad. They discuss possible treatments over tea.
Day 10: Bride and Gord's House
After her enjoyable walk yesterday and invigorating day of house calls, Sam decides to take another wilderness adventure. This time, she sees a beautiful iceberg close to shore. Golly, she says, it sure is pretty out here.
Day 14: Last Day in the Clinic
Little Timmy MacKenzie, grandson of Bride and Gord, has fallen off his ATV! Sam was asked to provide the stitching on poor Timmy's wounds. She feels grateful that she is able to help so many members of the family and get to know them better.
Sam is invited to a kitchen party at Bride and Gord's place. This time she accepts the offer, as she feels that she is able to go but still maintain a professional relationship with her patients. She has a great time and makes many friends.
August Butt returns to the clinic for a follow-up and brings her some fish on Sam's final day. She is completely humbled by the entire experience and the generosity of the people of Norris Point.
Sam reflects on her journey. She will miss the people, the sights, the smells, and the experiences. Despite being apprehensive about coming to Norris Point, she now understands that practicing family medicine entails so much more than she initially thought.
