  • FASTER, GIRLS!
  • My legs hurt a lot, this is so hard! I feel like I might pass out!
  • I feel so hot and sweaty. My head aches a lot! I am so tired, my whole entire body hurts! I need to sit!
  • ZZZZZZZZ..
  • Teens face a lot of stress. But some of the stress can be good. This stress is called eustress, and it can be good for you. An example stressor of eustress is doing a hard strength workout.
  • I'm so ugly, and so bad at everything! I don't feel like talking to you like I normally do.
  • Eustress's effects are usually short term. The effects can be headaches, sweating, fatigue, or shortness of breath.
  • I CAN'T SLEEP! I am so fat, I can barely get off my bed!
  • A way to manage stress is to get enough sleep and rest. You should get at least 8 hours of sleep. So the next day, you will feel energized and relaxed. Also you will be happy to start a new day!
  • Whew! I feel energized and happy. I love exercising!
  • Some types of stress that is harmful is called distress. An example of a stressor that causes distress is low self esteem. It can cause many long term effects like causing the person with stress to lose interest in their usual activities.
  • Long term distress can also cause weight gain, and sleep problems like insomnia.
  • A way to manage stress is to do some exercise or work out. You can take a break to walk or run. Exercising can make you take more deep breaths, which can help you concentrate and feel relaxed.
