  • Men were given more rights and privileges than women. Women could join and work for guilds that were in the area. They also could not start businesses, but they looked after their husbands businesses if they were travelling.
  • Men were given more rights and privileges than women. Women couldn't become doctors but were required to have medical knowledge. They could spin cloth, become milliners, dyers and embroiders.
  • Men were given more rights and privileges than women. Women had to give birth every two years due to children dying at birth. Both rich and poor women had to manage their houses while husbands worked outside of the house.
