Before the 30 Hours of GT Training
1. Is a label 2. Requires differentiation 3. Requires 30 hours for compliance
Then a breaktrhough happened.
Element 1 - Continually remind myself that my teaching does have an impact on students, whether gifted or not.
This is more than a label. These are real students with real needs that may often be overlooked.
Element 3 - I am here to facilitate, so flexible grouping needs to be done more often.
Element 2 - Students need to do more talking and questioning.
Element 4 - Allowing students to work at a different pace than their peers is beneficial to their individual learning.
Element 5 - Allow more room in lesson planning for creativity.
