Today class, we will be learning about all three of Newtons laws.
Newtons first law of motion or law of inertia states "An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force." Like when a kicker kicks a football off a kicking tee.
So is a rocket taking off the ground apply to this law?
Newtons second law is the acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object.
Yes,when a rocket takes off, the air/fire has to propel the rocket up before the rocket can fly. As shown on my board.This is a good example of newtons second law.
Newton's third law states for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The statement means that in every interaction, there is a pair of forces acting on the two interacting objects.
For example,when a boy pushes off the ground on a skate board the boys force propels the skate board forward.
