  • Ms. W: Now that we know Ed is on grade level, but not submitting HW, let's try a few things. Where does he do HW at home?  Mr. B: In front of the television. Or at his brothers games or practice.  Ms. W: That may be some of the issue around him submitting it. First step is to make make sure he is in a quiet place. Well lit and with the least amount of interruptions for 20 mins. if possible.
  • Ms. W: I can send home a tracker sheet for him to be more accountable with the work. This will be due with the homework. I can do this for the class as a means to help other students too. Mrs. B: Will we have to sign this?  Ms. W: Please sign the tracker and review the work to ensure it is done correctly. That was a great question? Do either of you have any more questions?
  • Ms. W: Thank you so much again for coming this evening to discuss Edward. He is such a joy to teach. I am glad we have a plan to get him back on track with is homework.  Mrs. B: Please feel free to call us if he is not doing the work. We have high expectations for him. We want to be more active in his education. Thank you for sharing that he is a kind young man. That is how we are raising him.
