- In this passage it describes how George is a Father figure by describing the works in the ranches and making money which refers to him as the mature one in the friendship. In a friendship it is mandatory to have a mature friend in many ways. Such as protection, knowing when time is right, controlling dumb fights, and help lead the other the rihght path
- “ I wouldn't eat none. George. I'd leave it all for you. You could cover your beans with it and I would not touch none of it.”
- George and Lennie are caring and unselfish. Their friendship has times where they fight but they will make up and solve simple problems together. This also explains they can have faith and trust each other.
- “But not us! And why? Because… because I got you to look after me, and you got me to look after that's why. He laughed delightly go on now george”.
- Steinbeck builds a strong friendship by making George and Lennie know they have eachothers backs and will be there for eachother.
- “Guys like us that work on Ranches are the loneliest guys in the world. They got no family. They don't belong to no place . They come to a ranch and work up stake and then they go into town and blow their stake, and the first thing you know is their pounding their tail on some other ranch.
- “They had walked in a single file down the path, and even in the open one stayed behind the other.Both were dress in denim trousers and in denim coats with brass buttons.Noth wore black, shapeless hats and both carried tight blanket rolls slung over their shoulders
- George and Lennie built such a strong bond they hung out all the time. Slowly they started picking up their habitats. Soon they started eating,dressing, and acting the same, But at the end of the day their trust and friendship never changed.
