  • That should do the trick
  • I must have Danae as a wife, but I don't need that little brat Perseus.
  • King Acrisius was told that his daughter Danaë would have a son who would overthrow him. Acrisius locks Danaë in a dungeon but Zeus still gets to her in the form of a golden shower.
  • The think I want more than anything in life is the head of a Gorgon.
  • Nobody would be crazy enough to get that for you.
  • Terrified of his new son, Acrisius throws Danaë and Perseus into the ocean inside a locked chest. The pair land on a beach and are discovered by a fishermen named Dictys.
  • The king of the island, Polydectes, falls in love with Danaë and wants to marry her, but he doesn't want Perseus in his family.
  • Oh my Gods! How can nobody know how to find these monsters.
  • Polydectes devises a plan to get rid of Perseus. He tells the young man that he desires the head of one of the Gorgons. Then, he announces that he will marry Danaë.
  • At the celebration for the marriage Perseus has no gift to give. Embarrassed, he tells Polydectes he will bring him the head of a Gorgon.
  • For your wedding, I shall bring the head of a Gorgon
  • Perseus sets out on his journey but can find nobody who knows the whereabouts of the Gorgons, not even the Oracles at Delphi and Dodona.
