  • My father stayed away from strangers when he was young so like father, like son.

  • I think you should come to my house. We will do what we like and like what we do

  • Oh yeah because im totally going to go in a strangers house 
  • Yeah because im a creepy monster that is going to eat you whole
  • Diction: Rhetorical Question Syntax: Anaphora
  • Are you stupid? I am sorry but I don't think it's a good idea
  • My life is boring, my life is sad, my life needs excitement. Please don't go
  •  The old man insists the young boy should follow him to his home. The young boy doesn't want to follow the old man.
  • Syntax: Diction: Euphemism
  •  I can't believe I am thinking the unthinkable but yeah sure I guess I'll go to your house
  •  I am very old and frail. Will you please show me some fun before I pass away?
  • The young boy denies the old mans invitation to his house with sarcasm, the old man then tries to use a hyperbole to make the child feel less uptight.

  • My house is through this cave, it's really cool inside
  • uhhh this is a cave, I'm not sure about this anymore
  • The old man tries to persuade the young boy further by saying his life is pointless but the child still isn't buying it

  • This is the beginning of the end. I will never let you go
  • The old man says that he is very old and doesn't have much time to live and that guilt trips the little boy into agreeing to come over to his home.
  • The young boy begins to second guess himself but the old man tells him not to worry and that they have plenty of activities to do.
  • Don't be nervous little boy. We can play games and eat and party 
  • hmm I still feel nervous. I don't think it would be fun to be alone together
  • The "old man" transforms into his true evil form. The child tries to run away from the creature but he captures him in his claws. The creature feasts on the young boy.
  • It is pointless to eat me, to let me go is beneficial
