Men viewed women as inferior because according to The Bible, Eve ate the apple and did the first sin, removing mankind from paradise. They also didn't like them because Eve did the first sin and made humans look bad (EH)
Women were told to learn only the basic things and bible studies. They were not educated enough to get real jobs and make enough money, so the men did all of the work. Women also served their husbands. This makes it sound like the men treated the women like servants. (EH)
Women were viewed as servants. They worked for their husbands by cooking food and other household chores. They also worked in the field as much as men did. Chivalry wasn't a thing. (EH)
