  • Nathaniel Newman was born with TCS on February, 2004 in New York. Mrs. Newman was in labor for 17 hours and gave birth to a baby that was not breathing. Nathaniel was born without cheekbones, eye sockets, and ears. While he may have had these difficulties, his brain was completely normal.
  • Mrs. Newman claimed that it took her a year for her to not flinch when seeing her son. She stated, "i almost cried everyday, every single time I looked at him I could not believe it's my child." Only 1 out of every 50,000 children are born with TCS. Mr. and Mrs. Newman did not hold their baby until a month after he was born.
