Carbon makes up 0.04% of the atmosphere. It's written as C. It also exists in water as a form of dissolved carbon dioxide. The movement of this carbon in ecosystem is called carbon cycle.
I can't understand it. Can you be more specific?
Ok. In order to under stand the first step of carbon cycle, you should understand respiration and phorosynthesis first.
Through the process of photosynthesis, plants produce O2 which is oxygen and Glucose(C6H12O6). They need water, ATP (energy) and Carbon(CO2) in order to produce it. By this process, plants get their own food. Plants work as producers, and I'll cover this in a few moment. Unlike photosynthesis, respiration is done by every organisms. As they make water, ATP(energy) and carbon (CO2) when they get Glucose and O2(oxygen)
The carbon cycles starts with photosynthesis of plants. As plants obtain energy(ATP) water(H2O) and carbon from the atmosphere, photosynthesis happens. As plants breath in carbon, the carbon enters to biotic factors of this cycle.
