  • George Washington showed leadership during challenges in the west because a fight broke between Americans and Native Americans so he used force to try and break it apart. For example, on page 270 it states, "Washington decided to use force. He sent an army under General Arthur St.Clair to restore order in the Northwest Territory." This shows how Washington wanted to restore order as to not have people go in chaos.
