- One day Bob went to the beach. Everything was good until he got hungry. Bob decided to get a coconut for a snack, but first he needed to figure out at what angle he needed to throw a rock to get the coconut. He knew that the coconut was 10 feet above his hand and the tree was 5 feet from where he was standing. He used the equation (arc tan)tan A=(arc tan)10/5 and he figured out the angle was 63 degrees.

- Now Bob needs to know how far he needs to throw the rock to get the coconut. To find this he used the equation sin 63 o= 10/x and found that x=11.2 feet. So that means he needs to throw rock 11.2 feet

- I hope I'm strong enough to throw this rock at the coconut.
- Now that Bob knows what angle he needs to throw the rock at and how far he needs to throw the rock he tries to throw the rock and get the coconut.

- I am so sad that I couldn't throw the rock hard enough to get the coconut I guess I'll just walk to the restaurant to get food instead.

- Now Bob needed to find out how far he needed to walk to the restaurant. He knows that the angle from where he is standing is 10 and that the distance from where he's standing anf the height of the building is 100 feet. To find how far he needed to walk to the restaurant he used the equation cos 1o= x/100. Using this equation he found that he needed to walk 99.98 feet.

- Bob walked the 99.98 feet to the restaurant and when he got there he was able to buy a coconut. After he got his snack he had a great rest of the day at the beach. The End
