Irony-Cask of Amontillado
This storyboard does not have a description.
"I drink, to the buried that respose around us."
"And I to your long life."
In Column 1, Fortunato says "I drink, to the buried that respose around us." This is situational irony because Forunato is toasting to the dead that surround them, when later on the story, he is buried as well inside the catacombs. Column 2 is verbal irony because Montresor says, "And I to your long life." When Montresor says this, it is verbal irony because Fortunato will obviously not have a long life, as he will be killed in the end.
