  • The proclamation act gave Britain French land and made American colonists ask for permission to live on the British land.
  • The Townshend Acts of 1767and 1768
  • You must pay tax on all imported goods.
  • The Stamp Act required all American colonists to be taxed on every piece of printed paper they used. The act was repealed on March 18, 1766.
  • The Boston Massacre of 1770
  • The intolerable acts were a series of acts passed by the British which mostly affected Massachusetts and one of the five acts affected Quebec. Massachusetts had the Boston Port closed, made it so the number town meetings in Massachusetts was lower, didn't allow self-government, and made the people of Massachusetts quarter troops and supply them with food, clothes, and other necessities.
  • The Townshend Acts were acts that taxed goods imported to the American colonists. 
  • The Boston Massacre was an event where 5 colonists died to British soldiers who were told to fire their guns. The colonists were harassing the British soldiers.
